Don’t be without these crucial remedies!
Two of the most commonly known homeopathic remedies also happen to be two of the most important when it comes to your pet’s First Aid kit.
Arnica (Arnica montana) and Aconite (Aconitum napellus) are two of the most trusted homeopathic remedies in many households and animals can benefit from them in the same way as humans do.
Arnica is often the first remedy reached for after physical trauma. Bumps, falls, knocks, bruising, muscle strain, or post-exertion soreness are classic situations where Arnica may be considered. Animals that would benefit often seem stiff, sore to move, or unusually quiet after an accident, even if no obvious injury is visible. Arnica is also commonly used after surgery or difficult births, to support recovery from physical shock. Because animals can’t tell us they hurt, Arnica’s broad usefulness makes it an essential first response remedy.
Aconite, on the other hand, is closely associated with shock and sudden fear. It is often considered when symptoms come on very quickly, especially after a fright, accident, exposure to cold wind, or sudden change. Animals needing Aconite may appear restless, panicked, trembling, or unusually alert and distressed. Fireworks, car accidents, sudden injuries, or acute illness with rapid onset are all scenarios where Aconite may be appropriate. But even the stress of a trip to the vet or being left alone can be eased with a dose or two of Aconite.
Arnica and Aconite are valuable allies for early support and are a ‘must’ for your family’s first aid kit.
